ADMINISTRATIVE & HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR

Applying his/her experience, the successful candidate will help the Credit Union meets its mission. This roll will provide administrative support to the credit union's executive management team for administrative, operational and human resources related duties. Responsible for administrative/operational duties and the implementation of the human resources strategy including employee relations, payroll, compensation, recruitment, turnover/retention and benefits.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides confidential administrative support to executive management and credit union volunteers. Coordinates and prepares reports for meetings, makes travel arrangements and assists with employee and member events. Coordinates ordering of supplies for office and breakroom. Retrieves and screens incoming mail, publications, and other correspondence.
• Works with CEO and CFO to ensure human resources and performance management strategies are executed.
• Assist hiring managers with employee recruitment; including but not limited to posting job openings, scheduling and conducting interviews, and making job offers. Conducts pre-enrollment screenings such as criminal background, credit investigations, drug testing and preemployment testing.
• Facilitates new employee orientation, onboarding, and collection all new hire documentation. Works with hiring manager to ensure new employees have a successful first 90 day experience.
• Assists with annual benefits enrollment. Monitors and updates executive management related to ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and FMLA compliance issues. Handles all long-term disability insurance claims and Worker's Compensation claims and reporting. Acts as primary liaison between organization and agencies.
• Creates, maintains and updates human resources reports in partnership with HR vendors and software providers
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS:
• Provide timely, accurate, professional administrative and human resources support.
• Effectively communicate with employees, applicants, vendors and others in person, by phone, by letter, and by email.
• Maintain accurate employee information to document personnel actions and provide information for payroll.
• Conduct pre-employment screenings such as criminal background, credit investigations, drug testing and pre-employment testing in a timely manner.
• Accurately maintain human resource reports including monthly DOL statistics report, annual OSHA report and assigned year-end HR report. Promptly process and report all long-term disability insurance claims and Worker's Compensation claims.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all information as directed in credit union procedures.
• Provide informed, professional and accurate service and support to all members and associates.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
• Motivating or influencing others is a material part of the job.
• Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
• The role requires a high level of trust or diplomacy.
• Able to operate a computer as well as various computer applications including Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, etc. and Google Suite of products.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Capable of working in an office setting with occasional travel required between locations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• One to three years of similar or related experience is required.
• A high school education or GED
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to lift 30 lbs.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time at employee and CU events.
