The Detention Officer performs routine duties in accordance with established policies, regulations and procedures to maintain order and provide for the security, care and direct supervision of inmates/residents in housing units, at meals, during recreation, on work assignments and during all other phases of activity in a correctional facility. May employ weapons or force to maintain discipline and order. Must be able to work any post assignment on any shift.
- Responsible for maintaining order, safety, and security of residents in a correctional facility.
- Engage in a variety of interchangeable work areas that includes, but is not limited to, armory/key control, housing units, kitchen, medical, visitation, etc.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
- Must complete pre-service correctional officer training and, where applicable, be a non-commissioned security officer licensed by the state of employment.
- A valid driver's license and clear driving record is required.
- Demonstrate ability to complete any required training, as established or necessary to meet contract requirements and/or standards.
- Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 20 years of age.

Nurses

The incumbent should be able to perform all of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements
- Administer medication to inmates/residents under the direct supervision of the Health Services Administrator.
- Obtain, monitor, record and report vital signs and patient's condition as needed.
- Prepare patients for physical exams, procedures and treatments.
- Assist nurse/physician with physical exams, procedures and treatments.
- Engage in functions in confined areas that include such things as working rotating shifts and physically checking the doors, windows and other areas to verify they are secure.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent or greater.
- Must be state certified as a Medical Assistant in the state of employment or meet the state guidelines for exceptions to certification.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 20 years of age.

Administrative Clerk

The Administrative Clerk provides clerical and administrative support for various departments. Performs varied and moderately complex typing, clerical functions and related general office duties that require independent judgment in the use of work methods and procedures.
- Produce finished documents efficiently using word processing and spreadsheet programs.
- Independently edit documents making necessary corrections to include spelling and grammar.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of records in accordance with corporate and facility procedures.
- Oversee incoming and outgoing mail in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with staff, inmates and visitors; respond to verbal/written inquiries and requests.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma, GED certification or equivalent is required.
- Two years of experience in full-time clerical, or administrative office work is required. Additional qualifying education at an accredited college, business school or technical institute in office administration or a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis up to one year.
- Experience in Microsoft Office or other similar software applications is preferred.
- A valid driver's license is required.

In our organization, these professionals are placed in the position of Mental Health Coordinator to plan and provide clinical mental health services of a non-medical nature in the facility.
The successful candidate should be able to perform ALL of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the actual job performance requirements.
- Conducts mental health screenings and assessments based on a review of available records and clinical interviews with inmates.
- Provides treatment to inmates by developing, implementing and modifying individual treatment plans based on an evaluation of needs and level of functioning.
- Documents treatment and evaluation activities in the health care record for each person seen.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive materials and information at all times.
- Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques by way of treatments and activities used for individuals in caseload.
- Provides appropriate mental health assessments, counseling and crisis interventions to address the needs of inmates.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling or a degree in a related clinical area.
- Five (5) years of clinical experience which includes two (2) years in a comparable job position required.
- Must possess appropriate certification or licensing in the state where practice occurs. ie., LPC, LCSW, or LMFT
- A valid driver's license is preferred unless required by contract or applicable statute.

The Recreation Supervisor is responsible for planning and supervising the recreational program for the facility. They plan and coordinate special events such as tournaments and contests, and participates in the development of recreational activities that meet the needs, interests and abilities of the inmate/resident population.
- Supervise recreation staff in the performance of their duties and evaluates as prescribed by facility and company policy.
- Monitor and supervise inmate/resident recreation activities and craft shop operations to ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures and standards.
- Plan and coordinate special events; oversees activities to ensure successful event(s) in accordance with the safety and security of facility operations.
- Participate in the development of recreational activities that meet the needs, interests and abilities of the inmate/resident population.
- Arrange for the proper equipment and facilities to be available in designated areas as required.
- Conduct regular inspections of recreational areas to ensure the safety, security and sanitation in accordance with policy, procedure and applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Recreational Management, Kinesiology, Physical Education or an acceptable related field is required.
- One year of experience in the supervision of recreation or leisure activities is required.
- Experience in a correctional setting is preferred.
- Additional related recreation experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications or other similar software applications is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 20 years of age.
