JOB TITLE: Marketplace Coordinator
ORGANIZATION: Our Daily Bread Food & Resource Center
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt: Hourly, Part-Time

SUMMARY: Under supervision of the ODB Executive Director (ED), the Marketplace Coordinator will be responsible for providing leadership, organization, consistency, and excellence in guest services at ODB Satellite Sites as assigned by the Executive Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ripley Marketplace: • Order, receive, and organize grocery items from Our Daily Bread and other donors in advance of shopping sessions at the Ripley Marketplace • Manage Budget as related to the Ripley Marketplace. • Manage weekly shopping sessions to ensure the best experience for guests and volunteers. • Recruit, train, and lead volunteers serving in the Marketplace, adhering to our volunteer agreement. • With the support of Our Daily Bread, maintain cleanliness and repair at the Ripley Marketplace, which includes light janitorial duties. • Attend weekly staff meeting at Our Daily Bread in Stillwater upon request to give updates on the Marketplace and to review required agenda items such as the Employee handbook and other mandatory training. • Communicate regularly with ODB staff to ensure proper management and oversight of the extended mission of ODB at the Ripley Marketplace. • Other duties as assigned. Cushing Marketplace: • Assist the Marketplace Facility Coordinator in receiving and organizing grocery items from Our Daily Bread and other donors in advance of shopping sessions at the Cushing Marketplace • Recruit, train, and lead volunteers serving in the Marketplace, adhering to our volunteer agreement. • Manage weekly shopping sessions to ensure the best experience for guests and volunteers. • Attend weekly staff meeting at Our Daily Bread in Stillwater to give updates on the Marketplace and to review required agenda items such as the Employee handbook and other mandatory training. • Communicate regularly with ODB staff to ensure proper management and oversight of the extended mission of ODB at the Cushing Marketplace. • Other duties as assigned. 

OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: • Language Skills - Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from volunteers, guests, donors, community organizations, and the general public. • Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. • Reasoning Ability – Strong analytical skills required. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. • Technical Ability – Proficient in MS Office applications and ability to learn new technological applications. • Personal Skills – Ability to take initiative and demonstrate leadership experience/skills. Familiarity with anti-hunger/anti-poverty initiatives. Ability to work and communicate with people of diverse backgrounds. Ability to work in a team and within broad coalitions. Must be a self-starter who is driven and capable of keeping track of multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Must be highly organized with an ability to pay attention to detail; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships; strategic, creative, progressive thinker. Ability to learn, concentrate, think and work well with management, co-workers, and guests.

 QUALIFICATIONS: • Must be at least 18 years of age with retail, volunteer, non-profit, or community service experience. • Working knowledge of technology and an ability to learn and train others on the software provided for guest intake, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and design software for marketing materials. (training provided for guest intake software) • Strong ability to communicate on several platforms, including email, text, phone calls, TEAMS, and group messaging. • Must hold a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation (some travel required). • Clearance of background investigation and drug screen. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: There may be extended periods of standing and/or bending; listening, talking and/or visual concentration; writing and/or computer use. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate but may be higher when operating equipment. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. SCHEDULE: 20-25 hours per week, spread according to ordering deadlines, inventory organization, shopping hours in each marketplace, and receipt of donations. Occasional seasonal events and additional evening/weekend hours required.

 COMPENSATION: Anticipated pay rate $13-$15 an hour based on education and previous experience. Pay increases are subject to managerial approval and available funding.
