About the Role:
As a Retail Banking Area Manager, you'll be the driving force behind our retail banking services. You'll manage a group of Retail Supervisors (Teller Supervisors) and their teams, ensuring they provide top-notch service to our clients. Your mission? To foster our Bank’s service culture and Core Values, Mission, and Vision through mentoring, coaching, training, and motivating your teams.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and Inspire: Monitor daily operations, supervise tasks, and act as a liaison between the Managing Director of Retail Banking and your teams.
- Build Strong Teams: Hire, train, and evaluate employees, recommend promotions, and address performance issues with the help of Human Resources.
- Optimize Performance: Develop your teams through training, coaching, and mentoring. Clearly define responsibilities and performance expectations.
- Stay Connected: Conduct weekly, bi-weekly, and quarterly meetings with your Retail Supervisors to ensure everyone is on the same page.
- Ensure Accuracy: Oversee banking activities to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and accountability.
- Collaborate: Work with management to develop best practices for successful banking operations.
- Be a Role Model: Perform various banking duties as needed and requested by management.
- Stay Informed: Keep up with banking regulations and security procedures to prevent fraud and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Travel: Travel to various branches up to 4 days a week is required.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of banking or management experience.
- Skills: Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attributes: High level of professionalism and integrity. Flexible, adaptable, and willing to continuously learn. Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Requirements: Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, qualifying motor vehicle record report, and reliable transportation.

About the Role
As a Teller Supervisor, you’ll lead and inspire a team of Tellers to deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring smooth daily operations. You’ll play a key role in mentoring staff, maintaining compliance, and fostering a positive, high-performing work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the Teller Team to ensure consistent, high-quality customer service
- Manage scheduling, timekeeping, and PTO approvals using Paylocity
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency
- Provide ongoing training, performance feedback, and career development support
- Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one check-ins
- Handle escalated customer issues, NSF decisions, and branch cash needs
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance reviews
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking regulations, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with Retail Regional Manager and HR on team performance and development
- Travel between branches as needed
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2–3 years of banking experience (cash handling and customer service)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable
- Professionalism, integrity, and a customer-first mindset
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent banking experience
- 4+ years of banking experience
- Experience in performance management and team development
