If you are not able to attend the Dec. 4 Plug-in@Lunch with Ironwood Business Consulting, then join us for this one on Dec. 11! We will have a recorded webinar with Ellen Adams from Gable Gotwals Counsel out of Oklahoma City, then Ellen will join us via Zoom for a live Q & A after the webinar to answer all of your questions. Have your entire Executive Team and HR/Payroll Team join in on this one; there's many layers to the new FLSA Overtime rules and it's better to be well-informed than make costly mistakes!
here’s a little backstory…. "Effective January 1, 2025, the salary threshold for folks classified as exempt (because they meet the duties tests under the Administrative, Executive, and Professional categories) is set to increase to $58,656.00 annually. In simplest terms, this means that if employees are to remain exempt after January 1, their salaries must be increased to the new threshold. The alternative to increasing salary and maintaining exempt classification is to convert the employee to a non-exempt classification. When an employee is non-exempt, the FLSA requires the employer to pay the employee minimum-wage and overtime."
