Now Here Ministries LLC, owned and managed by Steve Brown, is a new non for profit organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of generational poverty by providing families with clean stable living, employment, and transportation resources. Although our organization is new, we have been engaged with the greater Cushing community for the last two years through non-profit organizations like Celebrate Recovery and Love INC. 

Now Here Ministries has been working on a transitional living facility designed to help individuals transitioning from homelessness or unstable housing to permanent housing. This facility will be geared towards helping individuals experiencing homelessness, those recovering from substance abuse, and people transitioning out of institutional settings. The facility is currently undergoing remodeling to house up to 8 clients and the live-in manager. This facility's main function will be to provide a clean, safe living environment for our clients, who will be taken directly from the current homeless population in Cushing, and we will engage them in rebuilding their lives, including their careers and economic future. 

Exact statistics for Cushing's homelessness are hard to come by as homelessness has many forms that are hard to document. To our knowledge, there is no one currently offering solutions to these problems in the greater Cushing area. 

Now Here Ministries will continue to work with government agencies, healthcare providers, and non-profits to provide not only housing, but also:

• A 90-day transitional plan to self-sufficiency
• All necessary documentation and identification
• Employment counseling and training
• Medical diagnosis and referrals
• Reliable transportation
• Assistance in finding long term housing solutions

Our transitional facility will be staffed by a full-time live-in manager as well as fully engaged volunteer Peer Recovery Support Specialist  (Certified PRSS), sponsors, and accountability partners that will help ensure accountability, sobriety, and a clean secure living environment for all our clients.
