2024 INSURANCE WAIVER REQUIRED *

The person signing this Insurance Waiver is a representative for the application parade entry and take full responsibility for the parade entry.  Myself and all occupants, riders, representatives, businesses represented in the parade entry, of our parade entry will hold harmless the City of Cushing and the Cushing Chamber of Commerce their officials and employees for all loss, cost (including attorney fees and court costs) damages, expenses, and liability arising from the use and occupancy or anticipated use of a municipal area.  The City of Cushing nor the Cushing Chamber of Commerce accept no liability for any and all actions that may arise.  Any insurance protection which may be necessary for participation in the 2024 Cushing Chamber Christmas Parade is the sole responsibility of the applicant/participant/business in the 2024 Cushing Chamber Christmas Parade; furthermore, the City of Cushing and the Cushing Chamber of Commerce will not be responsible for holding insurance for applicant's/signers vehicles or persons under their care on their parade entry.

2024 Cushing Chamber Rules & Regulations REQUIRED *

Parade General Rules and Regulations

1.    2023 Theme: “A Cushing Christmas....AT THE MOVIES!"
The theme is a suggestion; you may do whatever you like with your parade entry. 

2.  Signs: You should have a sign, banner, etc. identifying your entry in the parade, but it is not required.

3.  Music: If music is used in your entry, it should be some type of Christmas music and PG-rated.  No Adult Language in your music will be allowed.  We do have an Emcee, Molly Payne from KUSH 1600 AM/101.5 FM Radio and a Deejay for music, Golden Reflections and DJ Express.  Golden Reflections will be playing light Christmas music in the background during the parade; however, if your entry has music, Golden Reflections will turn their music off so yours can be heard completely.  If you need your music to be over the speaker system, you will need to contact Golden Reflections to coordinate and to make sure you give him the right equipment with your music on it in order for it to play on his system.  Please call the chamber office for Golden Reflections contact info.  

4.  Procedures: 

a.  Line-up with your front bumper in line with your designated entry name sign stake that is staked in the ground, next to the curb; these sign stakes are also numbered. Pull your complete entry as close as possible to the curb and in line with your staked sign. Be sure to give a good email address for entry contact  AND enter on your entry form the length of your entry. An email will be sent on Thursday, Dec 12, or Friday, Dec 13 with the line-up/map. The email will tell you your number and where you will need to line-up at.  

b.    You must be in line by 5:30 PM to be a contestant in the judging, and no later than 5:45 pm if you don't. The Parade will start at 6 PM SHARP.  Parade entry Judging will occur between  5:30 PM until 5:45 PM. No Exceptions.  Please be in your designated Line Up location by 5:30 PM if you want your entry to be included in the Santa Trophy Contest. 

c.    Please line up by coming in on Depot Street from Moses Street, to park your entry in your designated spot next to your sign stake, unless you have made other arrangements with the Cushing Chamber. The parade will begin from West Broadway and Central and moves east on Broadway to Steel; then North up from Steel to Moses
d.    Please follow directions from the Cushing Police Department, Cushing Emergency Management Team and the Cushing Chamber designated line-up attendants. Keep a reasonable pace and space between other entrants.

e.    Per the Cushing Police Dept. for safety reasons, NO Candy or novelties are to be thrown or tossed from floats or handed to the public from walking participants. If caught throwing, tossing, or handing candy and/or novelties from floats, trucks, and/or parade entrants, that parade entry will be fined and banned from next year's Christmas Parade.

5. Children: The parade sponsors cannot be responsible for children. If your entry involves children, please be sure that you have an adequate number of adults to provide supervision.

6. Parents: You need to make your own arrangements with parents to have their children dropped- off and picked up from the parade, from your entry. Drop- off’s CANNOT be in the Parade line-up on Broadway Street. This is strictly prohibited. Please plan to meet at another location at a certain time, or on one of the side roads that run North/South and then take the entry to the line-up location on Broadway. You can also have your entry riders/walkers WALK to the entry line-up location on Broadway. This cuts down on unnecessary vehicle congestion in the Parade entry line-up area, and helps the Parade line-up location area stay safe.

I have read and understood the rules and regulations in this application and agree that all participants in the Parade entry will abide by Cushing Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade Rules.  I have also read and understand the Insurance Waiver and have signed, dated, and have agreed to the Insurance Waiver.
