PURPOSE:
The Cushing Chamber "EAT LOCAL" promotion at CHS All sports events is to help our Hospitality Member Partners increase their business presence at CPS sporting events while not solely having the hefty sponsorship cost on their own. This allows any of our Member partners in the Hospitality Industry to be able to participate in this group effort of encouraging locals and visitors at sporting events to Eat Local in Cushing. This also allows our Member partners to help our school district with fundraising as a group, which can have a much bigger impact for our sports teams, band, choir, and other student activities, in the long run.
We also want to encourage our Hospitality (Restaurant) Member Partners to participate! When visiting teams leave, they stop somewhere along the way home to eat, grab snacks, etc. Having your business listing on the EAT LOCAL Restaurant directory listing helps them know what is available on the way there and the way back.
CHS ALL SPORTS SPONSORSHIP LEVEL CHOSEN SO FAR:
To ease into the Cushing Public School All Sports sponsorship program, the Cushing Chamber has booked and paid for a $1,000 All Sports sponsorship level with Cushing High School. This sponsorship includes:
NEW ADDITION: BACK OF TICKETS!! We will have our "Eat Local" QR Code on the back of all tickets at the Football home games!! This is a separate sponsorship to Cushing High School and we hope that all of our Member Hospitality businesses will come together and do one of the levels of sponsorship so that we can cover the costs of both the $1,000 All Sports Sponsorship AND the $1,000 Ticket Sponsorship. We are not requiring those that want to participate to do two separate sponsorship levels in order to be on both pages this year; but if this project works out, we will expect both sponsorships to be covered by restaurant sponsorships to the Chamber to reimburse the Chamber for the Cushing All Sports sponsorships and there will be two separate QR Codes, one for the all sports sponsorship and one for the back of the tickets. But this year it will be all-inclusive for all sponsors and only one QR Code (one website directory page) will be used.
"EAT LOCAL CUSHING" WEBSITE DIRECTORY PAGE & SPONSOR LISTINGS:
At Cushing Public Schools' sporting events, locals, visitors, and students/players will be able to scan a QR Code and be taken to the Cushing Chamber "Eat Local" Website Directory Page. Each Sponsor will have a Directory page, which is the current Member Directory page on the Chamber's website, but we will be adding information.
The set-up will be similar to our current Member Directory pages, but please keep in mind that we will be updating those that sign up for a sponsorship, with specific information needed for the "EAT LOCAL CUSHING" program. Each participating Member Partner sponsor will have the most immediate information in their Summary intro box, such as:
Space may be limited for the Member Directory Summary Intro Boxes; please keep this mind. The consumer will need to click the summary box in order to get the majority of the needed information.
When a particular business summary intro box is clicked, it will open the "mini Website" page for that business, your current Chamber Member Directory page, with all business information; google map of location; contact information; link to website online ordering, if applicable; full menus; and anything else that the business would like on their page.
Participating businesses will be listed in the special directory page according to their sponsorship level. Higher sponsorships will be at the top of the line up, and so on. If more than one business is in a sponsorship level, the businesses will be listed in alphabetical order.
FUTURE CPS SPORTS/EVENTS SPONSORSHIPS:
As we go through this initial CPS All Sports Sponsorship, we will learn from it and see if it is viable to increase the sponsorship amount; if there is enough interest from our Hospitality Member Partners to sign up for more sponsorships and/or higher level sponsorships, and so on. As Band competitions, Choir Competitions, and other Cushing Middle School and Cushing High School activities start, the Cushing Chamber will be looking into sponsorships for their major events as well. All will be presented to our Restaurant Committee to see if it will be supported before we commit to any other CPS sponsorships.
OTHER FUTURE IDEAS:
Another idea that we would love to explore is sending the visiting team a packet of information from our Hospitality Member partners, especially during tournaments, so that they are prepared days before the game and/or tournament. This is something that the Chamber is working on, with logistics, etc. If this is something that CPS agrees to, there will be sponsorships available for this special packet. Sponsorships would allow Member partners to have their menu included in the packet; logo at the top of the listings; and much more. Definitely something to explore and could be of great benefit for local and out of town Member partner establishments!
